Education and Social Protection

The partnership outcome is to see strengthened education and social protection systems that are equipping and supporting all people, and especially vulnerable groups, with the knowledge, skills, and support for personal growth and employment success. The major deliverables expected from UN-supported policy advice and programmes are: Kuwaiti students scoring higher in international learning assessments (TIMSS: science & math), pilot schools having a full complement of qualified teachers, employing new methods to promote active learning and critical thinking; more employers report recent hires with knowledge, skills, abilities for job success; fewer young people (15-24 yrs) not in education, employment, and training; increased effectiveness and coverage of social protection systems; a system to track public spending for children, gender equality and women’s empowerment; fewer women and girls subjected to various forms of violence.
